The Kaleidoscope Poncho was an early KAL that Julia addressed. What a wonderful design to knit in any long striping yarn and a coordinating solid. Julia made ours in Silk Garden and DK Merino Superwash.
This top down oversized pullover can be knit with short or long sleeves and either cropped or hip length. The loose gauge of 4 sts =1″ over stockinette stitch allows for the use of anything from the recommended fingering wt +
Lace wt mohair to a worsted weight yarn. A well written pattern.
Here is a photo of a Love Note Pillover Julia knit already. She used a Fingering wt yarn + a lace wt Mohair Silk Blend. It is a super light weight garment.
Julia is knitting up two sweaters for this new KAL: one knit with the recommended fingering wt yarn + a mohair /silk blend. She is using Malabrigo Sock + Rowan Kid Silk Haze. For her other version she is working with a DK weight yarn: Joe Cole’s WTF Flockin’ DK worked alone.
I am knitting a toddler sized Love Note knit in a much heavier yarn: Cumulus.
My Love Note, using Cumulus.
I am making size 1-2 for my granddaughter. I am at the point where I am starting the short row shaping to make the back longer than the front.
A most popular pattern for 2 colors of ITO. Come take a look at this great garment and let us help you pick colorways!
Next week in my Thursday morning class we are knitting up pumpkins! The class is full, but you can try your hand at these centerpiece quality pieces on your own. We will help if needed. Both patterns are FREE and can be knit in Encore Worsted or Comfort Worsted, as well as other worsted weight yarns.
