The Knitter’s Edge is proudly joining forces with Louis Boria (Brooklyboyknits) to knit & crochet blue hats as part of the #HatNotHate Program to stomp out bullying. We are blue yarn as blue is the color of the Anti Bullying Movement just as pink is the color of Breast Cancer Awareness.
Louis is bringing this program to Bethlehem because he attended Donegan Elementary, Broughal Middle School, and Freedom High School.
Bethlehem is his hometown!
So please help us help Louis collect 600 hats for an October 2019 #HatNotHate event at Donegan.
We need hats for children ages 5-10 as well as adult sizes. Louis wants every person at Donegan to be wearing a blue hat- from the kindergartners to the principal.
One more pattern is in today’s newsletter for a worsted ribbed hat. This one is a shorter style- more like a beanie.
Patterns for other hat styles at available in the previous newsletter and at
The Knitter’s Edge.
The Beanie Style Hat is shown here in Worsted Merino Superwash. Pattern is written for children through adults. You can make it longer as well.
