Madelinetosh Wool + Cotton

We welcome our new Madelinetosh Wool + Cotton
50% Superwash Merino is blended with 50% Pima Cotton for
a supersoft DK. When dyed, the cotton does not take the dye as the wool does, so the resultant colors are softly muted.
You will love the look! Machine wash cold on gentle cycle, air dry flat.
9 colorways available.

On Friday July 9, Julia will start her next KAL- Summer Flies! She will offer guidance on 2 patterns this time- Summer Flies and Summer Flies Again. Patterns are quite similar, one being much larger. We suggest a worsted weight yarn such as: Comfort Worsted, Neve Cotton (shown here in yellow), Worsted Merino Superwash, Madelinetosh tosh DK, Galway Worsted, or Denim DK (we just got new colors and restock). So purchase your pattern and yarn, check your gauge, and be ready to start on July 9! Both of these designs begin with the garter tab- the first thing Julia will go over.
Julia will be using a new yarn called Painted Sky- this softly drifting worsted weight wool will add more color to this design. (See Painted Sky Below)
One of our absolute favorite shawls. The 7 pattern stitch sections will keep you interested. There is also an extended border (shown above). The pattern is extremely well written, including end of row stitch counts. Requires about 380 yards of a worsted weight yarn, but we can help you adjust things to work with DK weight yarns as well.
For those who desire a larger shawl, may we suggest you try the
Summer Flies Again. The first 5 sections are the same as Summer Flies,
followed by additional larger sections.
Requires about 700 yards of a worsted weight yarn.
If you have already knit up a Summer Flies shawl, please post a photo for us on our Facebook Group Page. OR… you can email your photo to us at unwind@theknittersedge.com. Please include the name of the yarn you used.
All these photos will allow knitters to view many yarn ideas
for The Summer Flies shawls. We thank you!

A lovely lightweight shawl that’s totally adjustable in size.
Knit one in Indulgence for incredible drape.
494 yards of fingering weight color- 75% Superwash merino + 25% Nylon.
The kettle dyed colors are softly tonal.
