The Hiking Reindeer Cowl is the perfect first project for 2021.

Knit in 2 colors of fingering weight yarn. We have several suggestions for yarns to use.
This fair isle cowl is knit in the round from a chart. Only 1–100g hank each of 2 colors is needed.
We recently found this hat pattern that uses the same yarns.
The Knitter‘s Edge has many, many choices in the fingering weight range of yarns. You need 2 hanks for the Hiking Reindeer Cowl.
Choose a solid for the trees- either black or white is suggested.
Then choose a colorful background shade.

#2 KAL starts January 12
The staff of The Knitter‘s Edge is working on a fun sampler blanket for you to knit up. It is based loosely on the Homestead blanket pattern 3139, shown above. There will be 8-10 horizontal pattern stripes (yeah you could change colors too if you want). Each stripe will be designed by one of our staff. The baby size blanket will take just 3 —100g balls (600yards) of a worsted weight yarn- Encore, Comfort, Weekend or Neve. I will later enlarge the pattern for a adult size throw.
So please pick out your yarn now and check your gauge (18 sts =4″ over st st).
The border and first stripe pattern will be released on Tuesday Jan 12.
