Love Note KAL Starts This Friday!

Starting Friday Sept 3, Julia will start our next KAL with this beautiful sweater
To join our KAL- join our Facebook Group page.
This top down oversized pullover can be knit with short or long sleeves and either cropped or hip length. The loose gauge of 4 sts =1″ over stockinette stitch allows for the use of anything from the recommended fingering wt +
Lace wt mohair to a worsted weight yarn. A well written pattern.
Here is a photo of a Love Note Pillover Julia knit already. She used a Fingering wt yarn + a lace wt Mohair Silk Blend. It is a super light weight garment.
+++
Julia has decided to make two sweaters for this new KAL: one knit with the recommended fingering wt yarn + a mohair /silk blend. She is using Malabrigo Sock + Rowan Kid Silk Haze. For her other version she is going to work with a DK weight yarn: Joe Cole’s WTF Flockin’ DK worked alone. I think she is taking on 2 projects so that I will have a better chance of keeping up with her. (LOL)
I am knitting a toddler sized Love Note knit in a much heavier yarn: Cumulus.
I am using Cumulus for my Love Note Pullover. This pattern is written in sizes 0-6 months all the way up to 5XL. I will be attempting the size 1-2 for my granddaughter. My sweater will only take 2 hanks of Cumulus.
This is a fast knit folks! You can see I cheated and went ahead and started (but I did a swatch!). That’s the only way I can keep up with Julia!
We hope you will all join us. Take a look at the Ravelry Pattern Page for so many versions of this pullover.
Besides almost every fingering weight yarn we have in the shop + the several versions of Kid Mohair/ Silk blend, take a look at these yarn combo suggestions for the Love Note.

Rasta!!

This easy, & fast to knit beauty takes just one hank of Rasta, and there was enough yarn left to make a Pompon for the top. We suggest a tonal shade for this design, such as those shown here below.
A lightly-fulled single-ply yarn of magnum proportions! Whip out a super-cozy accessory in just hours with this super-sized delight of a yarn. Our premium Uruguayan merino is just as soft as ever, and Rasta comes in a range of our unique “watercolor multi” colorways as well as a rainbow of semi-solid basics. Unbelievably squishy, this is the yarn to turn to when you want the ultimate in warmth (or the ultimate in speed!). 90 yds/150g hank.
Here are two other great hats for Rasta
With 2 colors of Rasta you can knit up this stunning design
With just one hank of Rasta you
can quickly knit this beauty.
What a fun fall project.
Rasta Speckled Shades
Jazz your Rasta hat up a bit with one of these speckled colorways.
What fun!
Rasta Kettle Dyed Colorways
