Charity Knitting
Charity knitting is alive and booming at The Knitter’s Edge.  Besides our weekly Charity Knit & crochet class, we have crafters who work on their own projects.
Shown here is a beautiful lap throw crocheted by Michelle- one of our most energetic charity crocheters.  Her work is so appreciated.
Thanks to Mother Laura- we have just set the date for The Knitter’s Edge Charity Retreat Day. This year- our 8th Annual event will be held on Monday, May 14, from 10am-3pm. The St. Francis Center for Renewal on Bridle Path Road in Bethlehem will be hosting us again.

No sign ups at this time- just put this date on your calendars.  This event just keeps getting bigger & bigger each year.
Some New Designs to Try

Love- Heart Washcloth – FREE pattern

I have additional instructions for making this a  double thickness hotpad.  Reverse side is just plain garter st.  Takes just one hank of Fantasy Naturale.  Ask for the pattern when you purchase the Fantasy Naturale.
Autopilot –  FREE Pattern
It is designed for Worsted weight yarn but can be done using any yarn you like.  We suggest Tosh DK or Tosh Vintage for a great hand as well as great colors.

Tiny Parlor Cat –  FREE Pattern  Knit these little cuties in Encore or Berroco Comfort.

This is a designer after my own heart- read what hr thoughts are on sock construction:
These Beachgrass Socks are knitted in the way that I believe it’s the easiest, best fitting and most durable way to knit as sock… which is also the most classic one: cuff-down and with a heel flap.
Make your own pair of these sweet tootsie warmers using any of the many sock weight yarn we carry.
