Earlier this week we held our first open weaving night, which was a great success.  The attendees learned a few new things, warped some new projects, and got to see what others were working on.  It was a fun evening.  Make sure you sign up for our next open weaving night- to be held Monday February 20-- 6:30 - 8:30pm.

New Classes

Beginning Entrelac 
Monday, Feb 6 --1-3pm with Julia

Bring a Size 7-- 24" circ.  You will need to purchase 2 balls of the yarn- either Kureyon or Gina.
Must call to sign up.

Then, try an Entrelac hat in a future class.

You will be making a cowl in the first class- come in and pick out your yarn before class so you can get the ribbing done.  Loosely cast on 120 sts. Join and work in k1/p1 ribbing for 5 rounds. 
Cast ons & Bind offs
Monday, Jan 30  1-3pm with JoAnne

Join me to learn several cast on & bind off techniques when to use them and when to choose another.  
Bring size 8 or 9 needles- double points and straights.

Brioche-- Tuesday Jan 31
6:30 - 8:30pm with JoAnne

Learn to work Brioche using a 24" 10.5 needle and 2 hanks of Chunky Merino Superwash or 3 balls of Rialto Chunky.  Bring one stitch marker as well.  Return Brioche students welcome too!

Encore Boucle - just $4 per 100g ball

For our Charity Knitters and crocheters, its prayer shawl time.  With just 4-5 balls you can make a shawl or throw- perfect for someone in need. 
Local Hospice units have been asking for donations of prayer shawls. Unfortunately it is a need that does not go away.  Please consider knitting or crocheting a shawl or a throw for someone in need.  
Your heart will thank you .
