We Proudly Present

We are now a very proud vendor of the Rowan family of fine yarns.
In next week's newsletter I will have a full review of their yarns we are carrying.  I know I promised it for this week, but we have been SO busy- the week flew by without me getting it done.  My apologies.
Amanda and I shortly will be meeting with our Rowan rep to look at expanding our line of these yarns.  If you are a Rowan fan, please tell us about your favorites so know where the interest is.  Hopefully by now you know we listen.
In the meantime- please stop by to see what we have in Rowan.  They are absolutely beautiful yarns and their pattern books are above all others.

Moebius Cast On Class held this week

This past week we held a new class on the moebius cast on.  It was a huge success.  We are now scheduling a second class on this technique to be held Thursday Oct. 21, 6:30-8:30 PM.
We learned from the first class that we need to restrict this class to intermediate knitters and above.  Also, all class participants need to arrive early enough to get their yarn wound before class starts.  The entire 2 hour session is needed to teach this technique.  All those who attended last week said it was definitely a good class.  This next class will be limited to 10 people.  Sign up soon.

Debra has designed a moebius ribbed cowl exclusively for this class.  The Cowl is long enough to be worn around the shoulders, the neck, or pulled up  around the head.  This last way is definitely how it looks best.  Stop by the shop this weekend to try on the cowl and see how versatile it is.

Sign up for Debra's class soon as space will be limited.
NOTE:  Bring size 10 - 40" long needles if you already have them or if you have an interchangable set.  We have many in stock as well.
Join Debra Thursday, October 21 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM to learn the Cat Bordhi Moebius Cast on while making this great Cowl.

MoebiusThe Araucania Panguipulli is our yarn of choice for this project.  Other yarns can be substituted, but you will need the 40" length on the needle.  The Moebius is created by looping the needle twice around, so a long cable length is necessary.  You will love the Panguipulli- its a self striping ultra soft merino.
Moebius Wrap
Loretta is shown here wearing another Moebius that Debra knit for this class.  This one is a shoulder wrap as well.  It can be worked on the same needles as the Panguipulli Shawl.

The pattern as well as several others for cowls, scarves, and shawls are available at the shop with the purchase of Kudo - on sale this week at 33% off.
