ruffled scarf
The ruffled scarf (see below under Highlights of upcoming classes) looks terrific in any of the beautiful colorways of Mochi Plus.  Here you can see it in a Winter colorway of bright colors.  See- this is what our classes can do for you!
 Mardi's shawl

Mardi- a charter member of our Thursday Charity Knitting group knit this wonderful shawl out of
Marble Chunky.  She used 2 balls and it measures about 25" x 60".

She worked it up on size 13 needles using the following pattern:
Cut 140-- 12" pieces of yarn and set aside.  use remaining yarn to make the shawl.
Cast on 69 sts.
Work every row as *(K3, p3); repeat from * to last 3 sts, end k3. When almost out of yarn, bind off in pattern.  Weave in all ends.
Holding 2 strands of the cut yarn together, attach fringe at 35 points evenly spaced along each end.  Tie a small knot in the end of each fringe section.

Pumpkins
Another customer took Lauren's class last weekend on felting.  She has knit up 2 pumpkins thus far- one- the smaller one - with her very own design- based on Lauren's work. Her Mini Felted pumpkin looks great!  You too can knit up these great pumpkins bags before
Halloween.  Join Lauren on Tuesday night October 12 to make these Pumpkins as well as several other felted bags.

New Moebius Cast On Class

Cat Bordhi developed a great way to cast on and knit a moebius.

MoebiusOnce you learn this special technique- you can make cowls all day & night!  Debra, a new teacher, will teach you how in just a 2 hour session on Tuesday Oct 5.  We hope you will join us.  You will need a 40" long size 10 needle- the size needed to work with the Araucania Panguipulli- our yarn of choice for this project.  Other yarns can be substituted, but you will need the 40" length on the needle.  The Moebius is created by looping the needle twice around, so a long cable length is necessary.  You will love the Panguipulli- its a self striping ultra soft merino.

Panguipulli
Panguipulli
Debra has designed a moebius ribbed cowl exclusively for this class.  The Cowl is long enough to be worn around the shoulders, the neck, or pulled up  around the head.  This last way is definitely how it looks best.  Stop by the shop this weekend to try on the cowl and see how versatile it is.  By Tuesday I will have a photo of it on better than just my kitchen chair. (Where is Emily when I need her!)

Sign up for Debra's class soon as space will be limited.
Countdown to Christmas
