This Weekend at
The Knitter's Edge
Hopefully you have all noticed that we are trying hard to get you interested in Holiday gift knitting.  We know its still only August, but we also know all too well that frustrating feeling in December when you realize you haven't started knitting anything for anyone yet!
Handknit  and crocheted gifts are often appreciated, and always worth the time & energy.   We hope that you will find our efforts useful in helping you to get those needles going.
To help us help you, please take part  in our newest survey on gift knitting:
Please think about this:  If you want to knit an afghan for someone for the holidays- you should get going soon.  An afghan takes a bit more time than most other projects.  To help you out on this one- I would like to offer a free copy of the 15 afghan pattern booklet called DONE BY MONDAY.  Each full sized afghan in this booklet requires 10 balls of Encore Worsted and a 32" size 13 needle.  Purchase the yarn for any one of the afghans in the book and get a copy of Done By Monday free.  Offer good until Labor Day.
So use Sept 1 as an afghan starting date - keep your Holiday knitting on pace.
So what's on sale this week???

New yarns!
I featured the following yarn on Tuesday and we have been selling it like crazy the past few days.  This Saturday I will be doing mini classes on the couch to teach anyone who wants to know how to knit with this yarn.  It will only take about 2 minutes- Honest!  As we have worked with it this week we have found that size 8 or 9 straight needles work the best.  So stop by anytime to try this yarn out- or see me on Saturday afternoon.
Flounce BoaThis is a new yarn and a new scarf idea for this holiday season.  We will quickly teach you  how to work with it and you will be off knitting up your own boa scarf.  It is very easy to do- even our kids class is getting into the act.  This would make a terrific Teacher's gift this Christmas- knit by your child for her teacher!
Here are just a few of the colors we have in stock.  You can make a boa scarf out of either 1 ball or 2 balls.  We have both in the shop for you to look at.  Bring a pair of needles- anything from 8 - 10 and we will show you how to work this up in just a few minutes.  Stop by anytime for a lesson.
Atenti Bags
We have recently brought in a new line to exquisite bags.  Each is hand made, and features a level of overall quality far above most other bags.  Come in to check them out.  You will be impressed.
