This Weekend at
The Knitter's Edge
It has been a wild and wacky week at the Knitter's Edge- we have boxes everywhere- chock full of new yarns.  Amanda is working slowly but methodically to get the new yarns into the computer and then out onto the shelves.  Me, I would be into those boxes like a wild woman.  That's why she's in charge- not me.
With each newsletter I will try to feature one of the new yarns- filling you in on the new colors, textures and fibers.  Stop by to see all of these new goodies in person.
We still need to make room for new stuff so we are keeping many of the yarns on sale through the weekend.  Come get some great bargains.
So what is still on sale???
Through the weekend- all of these yarns are still sales priced= some with very deep discounts:
Donegal Tweed Chunky
Jelli Beenz
Polar Knit
Willow Tweed
King George
Twice Tweed
And remember- if your are a regular class member- you get
an additional 10% off of everything.
As always- all sales on closeouts are final.

New yarns, new kits!
 Mainland Mitt Kits
Mainland mittsOne of the new kits we have made up- which is selling very fast- is our Mainland Mitts.  When you feel this yarn, you will be delighted by its softness.  These fast to knit up mitts are kitted for you to gift or to knit.
Marble Chunky
marble chunkyThe first of our new yarns is called Marble Chunky.  This HUGE ball is like a big pillow. 200g each!
Two balls will make a prayer shawl- which is the primary reason we brought this yarn into the shop.  So many are knitting prayer shawls and throws for loved ones or for those in need of some special caring.  This is a colorful, soft, machine washable yarn - a good change of pace for your charity knitting.  We brought in about 10 colors- and each is more beautiful than the last.
Special Class next Tuesday!
Next Tuesday evening, Lisa will not be able to join us for crochet- she had a last minute chance to get a few days of vacation in and just had to take it.  We understand. But... as you all know, I don't like to see a classroom go empty so...I am going to move my washcloth on the couch class into the BIG classroom for the evening. Now I figured I had better have one dy-no-mite project idea to pull in so many people, and I think I may have come up with one:
Meet Flounder.  If you loved the Tawashi Fish that we did months ago- you will love Flounder.  He is a larger, 2 sided Tawashi Fish- perfect to use as a bath mitt, or stick a bar of soap in him and lather up.
So please come Tuesday night- 6:30 - 8:30.  Bring some odds & ends in Fantasy Naturale if you have them, to make Flounder more colorful; and bring size 8 needles.  I will provide everything else.   No need to sign up- even if we have 20+ people- we have both the couch area and the largest classroom- we will all have fun!
Countdown to Christmas
Stop in to see our Advent style calendar for our countdown. Each week a new pattern will be presented free for a new gift idea.
