American Girl Doll Slippers
Size 7 Needles, Small amount of Encore Worsted

Make 2:
Cast on 15 stitches, leaving a tail for sewing up the back seam
Knit (garter stitch) 12 rows (approx. 1 - 1 inches)
Begin 1x1 ribbing:
     Row 1:  (k1, p1) across the row, end k1
     Row 2:  (p1, k1) across the row, end p1
Repeat rows 1 & 2 for a total of 3 times (6 rows total; approx 1 inches)
Do NOT bind off - use tapestry needle to collect the live stitches and pull tight.  Sew seam from that point to the garter stitch rows, forming the toe box.  Secure & weave ends.
Using tail at cast on edge, sew up back seam.

Crochet started this week!
I crochet
This past Tuesday Pat started her beginner Crochet classes.  The first class was a huge success.  The full class worked hard and concentrated on the task at hand.  By the end of the 2 hours all were crochetting- working single crochets and double crochets.  Several were starting projects.  If you are not signed up for a class yet- call soon cause we still have a few openings for July 27.
We will be adding more crochet classes  soon- day classes as well.  Crochet seems to be the next big thing.  There are so many new patterns hitting Ravelry each day for small as well as big crochet projects.  It's is hard to let all of that pass us by, so we want to get involved!  And to get involved we need to know how!
Amigurumi cat
In the first class you will learn the basics of crochet- how to chain, single crochet, maybe even double crochet.  With so little, you can do so much!!  We will have beginner crochet patterns galore and to top it all off... Steph will begin doing some crochet amigurumis.
These little animals are easy to make using only single crochet.  Steph has finally decided that shewill do this cat- an easy project- and cute as can be.
