This Week at
The Knitter's Edge
We hope that everyone had a terrific 4th of July.
We were very busy at the Shop on Saturday- and were very happy that everyone took a bit of time out to visit us for the holiday weekend.
This week we continue to have our vast selection of cottons on sale as well as some kits that make for great summer knitting.
Look for the new classes and new products featured this week.
Come in to see us and escape the heat.  Relax, stay cool and knit!  Remember its never too early to start knitting for Christmas!  If nothing else, it will make you imagine cooler weather.
Marilyn- Doing a bang up job!
Kids classMarilyn teaches our kids classes most of the year.  But now for the summer, she is really letting her hair down.  She is teaching some great kids classes, and clinics, and best of all, she is teaching some adult classes too!    Her kids seen here in their knitting class, are having a great time.  For her adult classes she started with some American Girl doll clothing classes and will soon move onto birds.  Birds??? Yep- birds- take a look!
Bird AMarilyn starts with the head, moves onto the body- looking like a balloon animal.  The final product is shown in the last shot.  All knit with sock yarn.

Crochet starts this week!
I crochet
Starting this Tuesday evening- July 6  we dive head first into crochet.  We have 3 class sessions full and are taking names for the 4th session.  We will be adding more crochet classes after that as well.  Crochet seems to be the next big thing.  There are so many new patterns hitting Ravelry each day for small as well as big crochet projects.  It's is hard to let all of that pass us by, so we want to get involved!  And to get involved we need to know how!
So join us to LEARN HOW TO CROCHET from 6:30 - 8:30 Tuesday nights this month.   You must sign up and we still have openings for the last Tuesday July 27.  Once we get a bunch of people started we will have some special events to stay tuned...
Amigurumi cat
In the first class you will learn the basics of crochet- how to chain, single crochet, maybe even double crochet.  With so little, you can do so much!!  We will have beginner crochet patterns galore and to top it all off... Steph will begin doing some crochet amigurumis.
These little animals are easy to make using only single crochet.  Steph has finally decided that shewill do this cat- an easy project- and cute as can be.
