A Name to Remember:  Noro!

Some products are so widely accepted that their brand has come to represent the entire product line.  I refer to Jello, Windex, Band-aids, Kleenex and Scotch Tape as familiar generic products.  For knitters, Noro is synonymous with fine quality multi-color yarn that is the standard for all others.  Like other widely adopted brands, it's the high quality and leading edge product development that distinguishes Noro Yarns from the competition.  The artistic blend of specially selected fibers, all in richly dyed tones has made Noro Yarns famous for outstanding and extravagant yarns and color compositions.

At The Knitter's Edge, we pride ourselves on selecting the best yarns we can find to bring to your needles. Our vast selection of Noro yarns are something in which we take great pride.  Please scan our shelves for the best of the best- and remember the name Noro.

Nightsongs Shawl with Linda M.

nightsongs
Linda Miller has started this new Shawl!  It is called Nightsongs.  The pattern is worked in charts- and even though the charts threw some during the first night- Linda emailed me today saying "I GOT IT!!" Sometimes new techniques are like that- they baffle, and then BAM!  You just get it.

The pattern charts for this shawl are repeatable so you can easily make the shawl larger.  This was important to Linda as she wanted to use all of the 550 yards of the new Blue Heron Rayon Metallic she purchased for it.  The pattern as written calls for 1 hank of Handmaiden Sea Silk ( we got that!) at 440 yards- so you can use that too.

By the way- you can freely come to either of Linda's classes- Tuesday or Thursday.  So if one week the Tuesday works best- come then, and the next week- Thursday of it suits your schedule better.
