This Weekend at
The Knitter's Edge
Boy has it ever been busy at the shop!  People are knitting afghans during the Olympics, attending classes like crazy, and looking forward to new Spring yarns.
Knitting is alive and well!
Some Class News
I think I need to clarify a few things about the last newsletter's report on our classes.  Almost all Project knitting and crochet classes are open to anyone at anytime.
This was something I neglected to emphasize in the last newsletter.  Many of our project classes are being taught by our very best teachers.  These  instructors are great at multitasking.  They can move from one project to another with ease.  So even though many in the class are working on a specific project- if you need help or just want to join in while working on another project- you are welcome to.
When we have a project class where only people working on that project are requested- I will let you know.
The Saturday afternoon technique classes are drawing a lot of attention. These will be more involved lecture times concentrating on teaching through the use of swatches.  These classes will be held in our smallest classroom and will be limited to 8 students.  The first session will be held Feb 27, and will be titled:
Sewing Up Seams.
After that we plan some of the following: Fixing mistakes, picking up sts, darning holes in socks, increases, decreases, provisional cast on, picot bind off, just to name a few.  We will take requests for technique class ideas.
For this weekend- we offer the following classes:

Bunny Hop
Easter is coming.  Try knitting this fast & easy design by our own Linda Jones.  This bunny works up well in Comfort- an acrylic-nylon blend from Berroco.  One ball and one class period is all it takes.  And if you need more time- you know we will help you finish.
Some New Stuff !
Bunnies & monkeys
Some of first new Spring items to arrive are toys.  I am a sucker for stuffed animals, so we have opened an account with Douglas Toys-- the makers of fine quality stuffed animals.
We are getting new ones in to keep our teddies company.  The Bunnies & Monkeys above will fit into the teddy garments very well.  The Llamas below can't wear the teddy sweaters- but we can make them scarves.
