How Wonderful is Silky Wool!

A wonderful DK blend of Wool, Silk, and Nylon with a slightly nubby feel and a soft sheen. We carry this yarn in about 60+ colors, and now we have 4 new colors for the fall season! We love finding designs for this favorite of yarns.
You may want to consider one shown here. Silky Wool- 191 yards /50g hank.
A Churchmouse classic and a true staple at The Knitters Edge. Work up this easy knit with 4-5 hanks of SilkyWool. Wear it 3 seasons.
A new treasure at TKE this summer, would definitely make a go- to accent piece for this fall. Choose 3 colors for your own one of a kind mosaic piece.
So many customers made their own shawl this summer. Now is time to challenge the rest of us to knit up one this Fall.
Another true classic- come see it in person- a majestic piece knit in 3 colors of Silky Wool.
Arrow Cowl
An easy to knit cowl that is expandable. We used two tonal shades of Silky Wool.
FREE Pattern at TKE
A drapey cardigan that will make a very nice fall cover up.
One of my all time favorite projects.
A miracle of construction.
A Garter Stitch Cowl that starts with just one stitch and ends with just one stitch. There’s no knitting in the round, no sewing, no grafting, no provisional cast-on, no picking up stitches. Try to figure this one out!

Beading

Adding beads to your scarf or shawl can be such a beautiful thing! Please consider joining Maggie on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for some fun beading work. Maggie has many shawl & scarf ideas for bead work including her own Ironish scarf on which you pre-load the beads. The Knitter’s Edge also has the four shawls shown here on display for you to see and feel.
All beads were purchased at Owl Be Beading- a local bead shop.
My favorite! The beads make scallops all along the edges adding just the right amount of weight for nice drape.
Knit with a fingering weight yarn such as Tosh Twist Light.
FREE Pattern for a beautiful shawl, knit here in WTF Flocking Sock Xtra in a red/black colorway. Beads are placed at the intersections of the diamonds.
A FREE Pattern for a lovely large fingering weight shawl with patterning along one end. That’s where the beading adds a great accent.
One of our classic shawls- make it as large as you want. The beading creates an added accent along the eyelet lines. Knit in a DK weight yarn.
Choose your beads wisely with the expert help of Barbara Talijan- owner. Make sure you tell her we sent ya!! She has a huge selection. We suggest you go with pattern in hand so Barbara can best assist.
