It’s September now… unofficial beginning of the Fall Knitting Season (yeah I know its 90 degrees outside).  Time to start thinking about a Fall project- maybe time for a sweater?  We have some great ideas for you.

Building Blocks with Julia

Work on your own sampler throw- learning new stitches as you progress.  Start at any time.  Call for more info.


Tuesday Sept 11– 6:30 – 8:30

Fixing Mistakes with JoAnne

 A class for advanced beginner to intermediate knitters.  Learn to correct some of those goofs.  Bring a pair of needles- size 8 or 9.   Call to sign up.

Monday Sept 17 & 24– 1:00 – 3:00

Entrelac with Julia

Spend a couple of sessions with Julia learning the technique known as Entrelac.  Wonderful for self striping yarns such as Noro Silk Garden, Kureyon or 
our new Ito.  Julia has scarf, hat, & cowl sample pieces to share as examples.  Bring a selection of needles if you have them- 16″ & 24″ circulars in sizes 6-8.   Your chosen yarn and project will determine exactly what needles you need.  Call to sign up.

Fair Isle Mittens with Linda Miller

What beautiful Fair Isle Mittens- knit in 2 colors of Galway Worsted.  The Golden Oak Mittens now have a matching Hat- Linda is working that up right now.  Patterns will be provided by the designer at a discount during the class.  You will need 2 balls of Galway Worsted for the set.  Call to sign up.  Must have experience with 2 handed Fair Isle work.

Needlefelting with Lauren

We love it when Lauren comes for a class- and especially during Pumpkin time.  This is a great My First Needlefelting Class project.  You will get it done before the end of class.   Call to sign  up. 


Beginner Classes!

At TKE we are proud to have so many classes perfect for beginners. If one of our special sessions does not fit your schedule- do not worry- beginners are always welcome in any regular class, at any time.

The Animal Food Bank of The Lehigh Valley helps pet owners keep their animals when times get tough. Donated cat & dog food is distributed to those in need.  Next time you are shopping, please consider adding a bag of food to your cart.  The Knitter’s Edge is a collection point for The Animal Food Bank- you can drop it off here.  Cat Litter is always needed too.
