New Davila

Davila is a new 2 ply high beaded twist merino from Plymouth Yarn.  This light worsted is not machine washable so it has more body than its superwash counterparts.  Beautiful mostly heathered colors produce a stunning palette for knitting.

Available in 12 colorways- ideal for Fair Isle work.

With less than 2– 50g hanks of Davila you can knit up the Susie Rogers Reading Mitts– a FREE pattern!
This is a super gift idea!!

Charity Knitting

Each Fall we ask our community to share in a charity knit & crochet project for needy residents of the Lehigh Valley.  This year, with the Help of Mother Laura,  we have identified the following needs:  Scarves and warm socks.

The soup kitchen has a full box of hats ready to go, but they need scarves and cowls- for men (mostly) & women.
As we did last year, TKE will also be collecting packages of socks for adults to be handed out at the soup kitchen.  Clean, dry socks are some of the most needed items for the homeless during the winter months.

On your next shopping trip- please consider adding a package of cotton socks to your basket.  It will be a God send to someone in need.

And if you need a scarf or cowl pattern- just ask.

Thank you

Build your own Ripple Blanket with Becky

This design-your-own ripple blanket will commence on Nov 7 during the crochet class.
Becky has come up with four basic ripple recipes, with instructions and examples for each. Each student should come to class with an idea of what yarn they would like to use and appropriate hook(s). In the first session, we would review the patterns (they are all easy) and hand out the instructions for swatches. After a week or two, each student should return with a swatch she likes and a target size for a blanket/afghan. We’d use the swatch to calculate yarn amounts and go from there. The project would be finished at their convenience.  Call to sign up.

Monday November 19– 1:00 – 3:00
