Remember to consider making a Blue hat for our HatNotHate program. We need about 600 hats to allow for every member of Donegan Elementary school to be wearing a blue – Anti Bullying hat this October.

Buttonholes on Baby Sweaters

2 Newborn sized Baby Surprise Jackets
knit with just one hank of Tosh Sport
When knitting a baby sweater- and not knowing the gender- put buttonholes on both sides- or on both bands. Then when the baby is born, you can quickly sew the buttons on the appropriate side. Remember- Girls’ buttonholes are on the right, because girls are always right!
(Dumb saying, I know, but I’ll bet you won’t forget it)!

Warping Lab with Lynn

Tuesday June 18 & 25 | 3:15 – 6:15pm

Ready to take the next step in your rigid heddle experience?
During the first session you will either plan & warp your own project or choose to work on a pre-planned project making coasters. Must have experience with direct warping. This is not a “teaching how to warp” class. However, guidance will be available to assist and answer questions.
Session two will allow students to complete their work and explore other pattern options for the rigid heddle loom. Class fee: $55.00.
Loom rental: $10. Project materials are additional. Please call to register.

Its Summer Project Time

Monday July 1 | 1-3pm with Julia

Summer is a great time to work on a larger sweater or shawl project. So if you have one started or want to begin a perfect summer garment- Join Julia on July 1. Julia has lots of warm weather knitting ideas, such as Julia’s own design: Storm Chasing.

NightShift, & The Shift with Julia

Summer Mon & Wed Mornings 10-12pm

Join Julia to knit up your “one of a kind” Nightshift shawl or Shift cowl. We will have several samples to show and so many colors of yarn to choose from. If you can’t make Julia’s class- join in almost any other class to work on your shawl. This is a shop wide project! We are all joining in!

Soldotna Crop with Julia

Summer Mon & Wed Mornings 10-12pm

Knit in Silky Wool, this adorable crop top is so fashionable these days. Julia will lead you through the Fair Isle work in this fine design. During the Summer, come to Julia’s Monday &/or Wednesday morning classes for additional work on the Soldotna Crop or Navelli.

Another cropped Fair Isle Top- this one knit in a fingering weight yarn such as Breathless. Julia will lead you through this design if you choose, during any Monday or Wednesday morning summer class, plus Monday July 1 | 1-3pm.

New Beginner’s Class

Tuesdays 3:30 – 5:30 with Regina

Regina’s class is working on hats in the round right now, and soon will be taking on a baby sweater in pieces where they will learn increases, decreases. and most importantly seaming! Please call to sign up.

Mosaic Cloth

Saturday June 22 |1-3pm with Becky

Join Becky to learn how to create mosaic designs. We have many mosaic shawls to share but most need to hone their skills on a small project first- we suggest a washcloth. Yarn kits will be available. Bring size 7 needles. Please call to sign up.

Log Cabin Mitts

Monday June 24 | 1-3pm with Becky

So you learned how to construct a log cabin, now use that knowledge to create a pair of mitts. Need light worsted yarn- 3 colors. We suggest Davila or DK Merino Superwash.

Becky’s Saturday afternoon class has become a beginner-intermediate class- both knit & crochet, with a strong focus on techniques. ALL LEVELS ARE WELCOME.
