Be Like Al
Got a call today from Mrs. Berkenstock, a retired Bethlehem Area School District teacher who’s father is knitting hats for the HatNotHate program. Al is 91 and lives here in Bethlehem. He taught himself to knit using a knitting loom about 5 years ago after his wife passed. Mrs Berkenstock taught art at Fountain Hill and Donegan Elementary schools for over 20 years.
Al knit us 6 blue hats but when he learned we only had about 300 so far, he knit us one more!
Take a look at these great hats Al knit for the the children in his hometown.
Come on everyone, let’s be like Al!
Keep the hats coming. If you need a pattern- just give us a call.
