Come join Joe Cole of What The Flock Yarn & Fiber at The Knitter’s Edge for a fun Saturday on August 18th from 11am-3pm while we host “Mini Bar Madness.”
This event will showcase over 50 colors of 20g fingering weight Superwash Merino minis for you to pick from. We’ll also have something special setup for those that buy 5 or more minis. What’s not to love about creating your own color palette?  Make you own 5 pack, 6 pack, or even 10 pack!  Plus, we will have lots of pattern ideas to share.  Here are just a few:

Prayer Shawl Gathering

The 11th Annual Prayer Shawl Gathering will be held on Sunday Oct 28.  This is a yearly gathering of Prayer Shawl ministries from the Lehigh Valley and beyond.  If you know of any Prayer Shawl or Charity Knitting groups that may wish to attend, please forward their contact information to me: JoAnne@theknittersedge.com.   It is difficult to keep an updated list without everyone’s help.

2 Dyeing Classes with Joe Cole

Saturday Aug 25 — 10-12 and 1-3.

Joe has an exciting new technique to share with you for this class. Yarn Marbling! He’ll be showing you how to

yarn marble on knitted blanks in fingering and aran weight, as well as on regular skeins.  Come see the dyed blanks & hanks in person!

(Disclaimer: results will vary from person to person and between preknit fabric and loose skeins.)

Price for class will be $30 (excluding yarn).  Fee is payable by cash or credit card at time of sign up.

The Knitter’s Edge will have Yarn & Blanks needed for class for purchase.
If you’d like to dye additional yarn, an extra $5 for class + purchase of the additional yarn will be required.  Call to sign up.


Monday August 20 & 27-  12:30 – 4:00pm, and 12:30 – 3:30pm

Weaving 101 with Lynn

Learn to weave using a Cricket rigid heddle loom.  Class includes 6.5 hours of instruction, all class handouts, Galway yarn for a scarf such as the one shown here, and loan of a cricket loom for the week.  Cost $85.  Call to register- class size limited to 6 students.
