Calico Summer Hats

Calico is a soft blend of cotton and acrylic.  This DK weight yarn works up well in hats as well as garments, and baby blankets.  
Here we have used it to create 2 new hat designs for summer.  These patterns can also be used to create wonderfully soft and easy care chemocaps.  Calico is available in about 20 colors at The Knitter’s Edge.   267 yds/100g ball

Monday July 16  1-3pm Intarsia with JoAnne

Intarsia is a technique of making areas of color in your knitting without carrying the yarn behind.  This technique allows for flexible color changes.  Yarn kits will be available.  You will need bobbins and size 7 needles.

Monday July 23-  12:30 – 3:30pm

Weaving 201 with Lynn

In this 3 hour class you will examine 4 colorwork designs as worked in Fantasy Naturale on a loom you will prewarp prior to class.  Loan looms available.   Class fee is $35.  2 hanks of Fantasy naturale cotton (solids) are also required.  Call to register and for more information on this Level 2 class.

All About Fiber with Pat & Lynn

All wool is not the same.  Learn a lot about different breeds and different fibers.  Learn about crimp, micron count, and how different fibers behave on the needles and in the garment.  Wools, cottons, silks, alpaca as well as others will be addressed.   This is one of Pat’s Lecture Classes.

Faroese Shawl with Pat

Knit up a beautiful shawl with Pat.   The Faroese styling creates a piece that will stay on your shoulders.
Must come to class with 421 sts loosely cast on a size 6 needle.  You will need about 1000 yds of fingering weight yarn.  Pattern will be provided in class.  Call to sign up.
